The primary selling point of these pants is their material composition and fit. They are made of 100% cotton, offering a light-to-medium thickness that works in various climates. The author notes that the pants are “a much more refined airport look than a pair of joggers or leggings,” allowing the wearer to transition seamlessly from a plane to walking around a new city. They have become a staple in the traveler’s uniform for red-eye and early morning departures.

The Minetta ankle pant, conversely, relies on a pull-on design with an elastic waistband and fake pockets, resulting in an aesthetic that is the least convincing as denim.
