Accommodation and Facilities
Outside the pub is The Hideaway, a row of five individually designed boutique rooms that vary in size, including Nest, Burrow, Den, Hive, and Coop. Each room is located on the ground floor, making it easily accessible, and guests can park their cars nearby.
We stayed in Burrow, a very modern and stylish room with a large internet-enabled TV and a super modern walk-in shower. The room’s design and amenities make it an ideal retreat after a day of exploring the surrounding countryside.
The pub itself is cosy and comfortable, with a beautiful private timber-ceilinged dining room for special occasions. The dining room’s timber ceiling adds to the pub’s historic charm, making it a unique and intimate setting for celebrations and gatherings.

The food at The Hoddington Arms is excellent, offering pub classics made with high-quality ingredients, such as Gin and Beetroot Cured Chalk Stream Trout and Twice Baked Tunworth Cheese Souffle. The menu also features more daring options, including Slow Cooked Crispy Pork Fritter and Crab and Parmesan Crusted Cornish Cod Loin, which showcase the chef’s creativity and skill.
